Covid Safety Guidelines // Safe Socially Distanced Photography Sessions

*Update 10/01/2021 – For mini sessions, I’ll be wearing my mask during the entire session. All mini sessions will take place outside.

*Update 07/28/201 – Per CA regulations, masks will be required for all indoor spaces. Currently going off health and safety guidelines from https://covid19.ca.gov/. Also, with influx of bookings from postponed sessions from 2020, along with new bookings this year, please note that delivery times for photos may take an extra week longer. I’ll send updates along the way. Thanks in advance for your patience and understanding.

*Update 05/21/2021 – I’m fully vaccinated and opening up my schedule for postponed bookings and new bookings – available for all shoots and events as long as client adheres to state Covid health and safety guidelines here: https://covid19.ca.gov/. While we don’t have to socially distance, I’ll still have my mask on for overly crowded areas and any indoor shoots/events (would prefer to shoot outdoors for the time being but will make an exception if all parties are fully vaccinated as well. Being extra cautious still since we have my fiancé’s parents with us.) Thanks for your cooperation and understanding during this time.

I hope you’re staying safe and healthy during these strange times.

Covid has thrown a wrench in most of our plans for 2020, but I’m hoping to offer some sense of normalcy with socially distanced photography sessions for the remainder of the year as well as for 2021 depending.

Please check back via this post for any future Covid and photography session updates.

Your health and saftey, along with my own is my main priority and I want to ensure that all parties feel safe during any photo shoot or event moving forward.

Also, due to Covid, I am taking an extremely limited number of clients (1/3 of what I normally shoot this fall season) and have cut back on work hours tremendously since March. I’ve also postponed all big events and weddings until 2021. I am still booking sessions and small events (elopements, small weddings, drive-by birthdays and baby showers, etc.), so please get in touch regarding availability. Please also be patient as it can take anywhere between 1-5 business days to respond to emails (vs. the 1-2 business days). Thanks for your understanding and patience while we all navigate our new “normal!”

Covid-19 Safety Guidelines // Safe Socially Distanced Photography Sessions

  • All sessions will take place outdoors with ample space and with minimal crowds. Available for all shoots and events as long as client adheres to state Covid health and safety guidelines here: https://covid19.ca.gov/.
  • Sessions will be photographed at least 6-8 ft a part.
  • Photos will be taken on a zoom lens (if necessary) along with my 50 mm and 35mm. You’ll still have tightly cropped photos along with a variety of lovely formal and lifestyle type photos and angles to choose from.
  • No hugs or handshaking with the photographer during this time, unfortunately.
  • I’ll be wearing a mask during the entire session. Clients will also wear masks leading up to the session. Masks will be taken off once session starts.
  • If anyone is feeling ill day of the session (fever, coughing, body aches, etc.), or has been in contact with someone that has Covid, please contact photographer to reschedule at no additional charge.
  • Since state and county guidelines are constantly changing, please be aware and flexible to postponement and rescheduling of dates (with no additional fees), along with possible change in location (i.e. due to parks closing, restricted hours due to Covid). In the event that this happens, I will send an email asap to give different options on how to proceed. Thanks again for your patience and understanding while we all navigate this new reality.

 

Mini Sessions Safety Guideline

  • For mini sessions, same guidelines will apply above under “Covid-19 Safety Guidelines.”
  • Sessions will be spaced out to ensure that clients don’t run into each other.
  • Locations will be held in an open area with less crowds.
  • Sessions will be held on Sunday or weekdays only in the morning (10am – noon in a shaded area) or late afternoon until sunset (1:30pm – sunset).

 

Full Sessions Safety Guideline

  • For full portrait sessions, same guidelines will apply as above under “Covid-19 Safety Guidelines.”
  • Options for location: your home (backyard, front yard, garage for studio type sessions – I’ll bring my backdrop and backdrop stand, etc.) or an outdoor location in an open area with less crowds.
  • Sessions will be scheduled on Sunday or weekdays only in the morning (10am – noon in a shaded area) or late afternoon until sunset (1:30pm – sunset). Calendar is fully opened for bookings.

 

Events (Birthdays, Baby Showers, Elopements, Weddings, etc.) Safety Guideline

  • For events, same guidelines will apply as above under “Covid-19 Safety Guidelines.”
  • I am only booking small events with a minimum of 10 people or less at this time. Available for all events as long as client adheres to state Covid health and safety guidelines.
  • Available for drive-by birthdays and baby showers, elopements, small and intimate backyard weddings, etc.
